Rock on! It's about time someone started a DriveSHAFT community. I've been a fan of the band for years. Any favorite songs? I'd have to go with the luminously poignant Sadie Said off of Eternal. It's not so much what Sadie said, as how she said it. It's very moving and heartfelt. I think it's a true testament to the brilliance of the band.

As with the rest of the fans, my thoughts are with Charlie and his safe return. *utters a little prayer*

fuckin. freaky. fantastic.

Hi there, I am just so glad that someone has finally started a DriveSHAFT community. Here in Australia we are also praying for Charlie's safety, trying to create awareness of this tragedy by putting up posters and making shirts.
driveSHAFT forever!

It's funny, but I never looked for an online community of DriveSHAFT fans until after I heard the news. Like a lot of girls my age I discovered the boys in high school, back in the dark days of Napster. "Everybody" was the first song I ever downloaded. I bought their albums too, of course. Hell, my only real reason for that semester abroad was so I could smuggle in the LP before it was released Stateside. I was a Liam girl in high school. It wasn't until college, until "Sadie Said," that I recognized Charlie for who he really was, a poet, not a clown. Liam may have been the singer, but Charlie was the voice. I keep getting those lines from "Broken" running through my head now... "When I wake up in the morning/I wanna say it was all a dream/Tell me you didn't leave me/Baby that's not our scene..."
Sorry. I didn't mean for this to sound like a eulogy. Charlie isn't gone...he's just misplaced. --Odyssea
