I was cleaning out my room and stumbled on a pile of miscellaneous pictures.

I was flipping through them and one specific one caught my eye. I couldn't believe what I had found! A DriveShaft concert picture!! I was so excited I had found the picture, and I thought I'd share it here.

One of the security guards was kind enough to take the picture for me, that's why it's so close. :)

In are parent generation it was, "where were you when lennon died?" for us its, "Where were you when you found out Charlie was Lost?"


Yeah, I know. I live on the completly wrong side of the pond. East coast sucks, its no where near LA, and no where near Manchester.

im worried to admit that before Charile went to austrailia there were rumors that he was being, how you say, temp'd, for now... But that cant be right, right? surely his own brother wouldnt dislodge him from his own band, right? Why was he in Australia anyway?

Oh God. I'd heard those, too. I'm hoping they were just that -- rumours. I would love to think that a brother wouldn't do that to another. But you never can be sure.

I know Charlie had been having problems of some kind... I don't think they ever said *what* kind, though.

No idea. Recording or something?

you dont think they sent him there for drugs, do you? I heard hes gotta bad habit with the brown... But there rumors, right? all rumors... Theres no solid evidance. Maybe he went there to promote the new album. Its not like he went to Bangkok or something. He was coming home...

Exactly. I just can't believe that about Charlie. I mean, I know they're rock stars and all, right? But he doesn't seem the kind to be in to *that* aspect of the life.

I met him once, after a show. Seemed a real decent kind of person, not at all like someone who'd be messed up in anything.

haha. I get that vibe though. In all the interviews ive seen he seems like hes there to have a good time, and let the bad times go! your right though, He can't be going to some sort of rehab. Its just not plausable. DriveShaft were schedualed to begin the US tour next week. Thats not very probable now... is it?

Do you think they'll refund my tickets for the NYC show? Should I bother, maybe boycott cause Charlies not there? I dont think they'll keep touring... Their bassist is MIA... How can they function?

I'm sure he's all right. I know everyone's worried for his safety, including me, but we can't live in fear and worry.
Just keep believing that he's safe and taking care of himself whereever he is.
Remember he's not alone either. I heard on the news about 40-50 people survived that crash, so they're all together.

I know in my heart Charlie is alive. They just need to find him and bring him home.

I think there are at least. I was in the other room when I heard it. So it may have been something else. :\

My dad is a pilot though, and he said that people do survive crashes so we can still pray.

Yeh. For like, five minutes after a show in Philly once. Didn't even get to get my pic with him or anything. Got a guitar pic, though. ;)

Naw -- there is no way. Not with the tour that close.

I have tix for the Philly show and the DC show. I definitely can't see them going on with the tour with no bassist.

Exactly. And I couldnt ever do that to anyone. If my brother had dissapered, I would be freaking out, not playing shows.


But still, you got to meet him. Thats awsome! Im still insaneelyy jealouse of you...

I got to see them in June when they played Jimmie Kimmel. That was cool! Charlie looked so happy, you know? Just like all a bunch of smiles and happiness... nodding at everyone... He signed my friends hand! AND SHE GOT TO KEEP THE SHARPIE. Siiiiigh.


Best to Charlie though. Where ever he is, may he have a sharpie. Where is he anyway?

You figure Charlie and him have to be really close, too... Being in the band, together.

It *was* awesome. I'll carry that memory with me everywhere. I stopped him right before he got on the bus -- acted like a total moron and blabbered on how he was my fave guy in the band... he hugged me, thanked me for the support, gave me the pick and got on the bus.

The Second Tour of Findland site got good info one what happened;

Oceanic Flight 815 was flying from Sydney to San Francisco when it mysteriously disappeared from radar at approximately 3:24pm, September 22, 2004. All attempts to contact the crew were unsuccessful. The plane is assumed to be downed somewhere in the area northwest of Fiji.

According to the passenger list, Charlie Pace was sitting in seat 68G. He was in Australia on vacation before the start of DriveSHAFT's tour in support of their third album, Eternal. So far, neither Charlie's family, nor any members of DS, have made a formal statement. Oceanic's release to the public said only that they were making every effort to locate the plane. Stay tuned to CNN and other news services for further information.

Ahh... he was on vaca. That makes sense... I read somewhere once that he was fascinated by Australia.

Hopefully they'll find them, soon. Sounds like they have a good idea of where they are.

of course, the plane had a black box, so it cant be that hard to find him.
