the ring???

I'm curious as to the meaning of the ring? My sis and I think maybe the writers of LOST threw it in there in case people didn't recognize Dom. Kind of a "oh look, he has a RING!!" *wink wink, nudge nudge, cough cough* SO.... what's the ring REALLY all about???

ruidoso and I have had many conversations about that ring. I am under the belief that Charlie and the guys saw the rings in a dusty little junk shop during their second tour of Finland. They liked the rings, mostly because they had the initials of the band on them. They all bought one and have worn them ever since, as a testiment to their dedication to the band.

Of course, I asked Patrick about the rings, but he just smiled and refused to answer. So, I formed my own opinion!
